Also, Lancet’s conservative estimate is 180,000 but the higher end of their estimate actually puts expected death toll at 600,000.

The Lancet (one of the most respected & credible medical journals) estimates that Israel's war on Gaza has killed 186,000 Palestinians, or 7-9% of Gaza's population.

When you combine Netanyahu's stated intent to "thin the population" down to "a minimum" along with the mass indiscriminate destruction of Gaza, the starvation of its population, & the systematic destruction of its medical system & assassination of its engineers...etc., that estimate isn't at all surprising.

The horror unfolding in Gaza is unquestionably a genocide, and the full extent of that horror won't be truly known until it comes to an end.

@jeanniejampots Schools is definitely the way to go. Opportunistic kids flu vaccine by the GP doesn’t work.They only come to us this time of year when they are sick.Expecting parents to make a follow up appointment to get nasal flu when better isn’t realistic. Should be done by HSE vaccine teams

Most of the medical staff and patients had left Al Shifa hospital, as the Israeli occupation army ordered everyone to evacuate the hospital. Many patients can not leave the hospital as they are in the ICU beds or the baby incubators.

I along with 5 other doctors, will stay at Alshifa hospital with 120 patients (as patients can not leave due to their health conditions). We call the @ICRC @ICRC_ilot @WHO to take action to protect the medical staff and patients at Al Shifa hospital.

@afif_elKhuffash All Irish medical faculties should make statements on the war crimes being committed in Gaza, bombing of hospitals and the absolute disregard for previous human life of all ages. IMO did issue a statement and I know many of us have called on our faculties but we are still waiting

What happens to employees of Oslo who are breastfeeding when they return to work? What a badly handled situation. Sorry you had this experience.

@afif_elKhuffash I’m surprised at this. Is this in relation to OTC or prescribed analgesia? Is it confusion around NSAIDs c/i in pregnancy but ok pp but a lot of women come home from hospital with prescription for analgesia so not sure where the block happens. Later in feeding journey?
