Resident doctors voted to accept the offer for 23/24 & continue the road to FPR.
Your DoctorsVote reps started the pay campaign and we will finish the job.
Strike action is the way to FPR & we are preparing for next year.
Save up, get your colleagues ready, we will win again.
We've not asked for pay restoration in one go and it's misleading to say the cost of pay restoration would be £3bn – that assumes Junior Doctors pay no tax. In reality the cost to Government would be £1.3bn, less than half of the cost to the NHS of the strikes to date.
South West employers are openly plotting to form a pay cartel reducing medical rates of pay. The BMA will actively campaign against employers who impose reduced rates. Doctors who give up their free time to care for patients don’t deserve pay cuts. https://t.co/kRrcgykJ4X

Our protest at Cheshire & M’side ICB today with
@DefendourNHS
protesting the replacement of doctors with non-doctors to benefit big business by harming patients. Doctors are the right people, with the right skills, for the job of Doctors, not PAs, AAs etc

How can this be justified @gloshospitals?
PAs are being paid more than doctors to supervise and teach doctors while eventually leading ward rounds.
This job offer MUST be withdrawn.
Doctors, see how your roles are undervalued. You are slowly being replaced.
STRIKE
How is this acceptable @BucksHealthcare?
Doctors are NOT worth half a Physician Associate.
FY1s, this is how they value you. Look how they value your replacements.
STRIKE.
Less than a week remains before the eighth round of industrial action kicks off!
This is a Full walkout from 7am December 20th to 7am 23 December.
Regional picket at the BRI at 10 am on the 20th

Extremely interesting development in America where an association of trainee doctors are pushed into a position to fight for... training doctors (over other AHPs!) in delivering procedures.
Healthcare has evolved, but with doctors struggling, will this be coming soon in the UK?
🚨🚨 Ok this is big‼️
A group of baddie anaesthetists have been working behind the scenes to uphold the integrity of anaesthetics in the UK
They will call for an Emergency General Meeting to force @RCoANews to represent views of its membership

Sent to me, the answer to uncompetitive pay is not to recruit ‘non medical consultants’, it’s to pay fairly and competitively. If we allow this these people will eat our lunch (and breakfast and dinner). Join the BMA take action to defend pay.
I’m an oncologist and I love my job. But I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing our patients with cancer and I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing its workforce. https://t.co/Liv26cn8Or #ConsultantsStrike
@dr_nigel_lane@NHSEngland The average UK worker hasn't spent 16 years (6 under grad, 10+ post graduate training) getting shipped around the country and sacrificing their best years so they can inherit immense responsibility and a pay that's been cut by 1/3. Why would anyone be a consultant in the UK?
