Spare me the big boohoo about the cost of immigration when you're out there on the streets burning down libraries and police stations and flooding the courts and costing the tax payers more money than any immigrant you've ever met.
The media uniformly framing these violent hate marches as "protests" and framing the peaceful palestine demos as "violent hate marches" will be studied in the future as the quintessence of manufacturing consent
🚨 NEW: George Osborne praises Rachel Reeves' policies, saying her spending cuts were "identical" to his policies.
Labelling her "continuity Osborne", he said: "I don't think there was anything she announced that I would have ... not done myself"
It takes an incredible mobilisation of resources to keep facts like this from being the main focus of political debate. It's why oligarchs buy newspapers and social media platforms, set up faux TV stations, fund think tanks, lobbying groups and political parties, etc.
Steven Van de Velde, a Dutch volleyball player who raped a 12 yr old girl in 2014, is competing at the Olympics. Israel, who have violated the Olympic Truce in continuing to bomb Gaza where thousands of women and girls have been killed, is competing at the Olympics. Yet the outrage is being spewed at cis female athletes who have naturally higher levels of T. It has never been about protecting women!!!!!
Michael Phelps is literally referred to as a freak of nature because of his disproportionate wingspan, double jointed ankles, lung capacity twice that of an average human, body that produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete, and he is rightly celebrated for being the greatest male swimmer in history. Meanwhile, female athletes with genetic differences are legally discriminated against and harassed to no end. This is not about “protecting women in sports” - this is about protecting a very specific idea of what a woman is.
I'm petty, so I literally checked:
In 2022, I paid £3 for a litre of Sainsbury's light olive oil, and £7.95 for the a litre of Il Casolare unfiltered extra virgin olive oil.
Today, it was £7.80 for the Sainsbury's light. And £16.10 for the Il Casolare 😭😭😭
The judge who sentenced the JSO activists was previously "very lenient" towards an on-duty police officer who had sex with a drunk woman he'd offered a ride home.
The judge said the officer had acted in a "moment of madness", and he avoided jail time.

Forgive me for not trusting Professor Appleby’s review of trans youth suicide.
I emailed the GIC to tell them Alice had taken her own life.
I never got a reply. No acknowledgement. No sorry to hear this. Nothing.
No reason to believe GIDS is any better at record keeping or caring
It's a really unfortunate coincidence for Keir Starmer this keeps happening, isn't it?
In the Batley and Spen by-election, Labour officials brief that Muslim voters are disillusioned with the party because of homophobia and antisemitism.
Muslim councillors resign over Gaza, his stooges boast Labour is "shaking off the fleas".
White allies make antisemitic comments, no action, while Diane Abbott is publicly humiliated.
Kate Osamor, one of the only other Black female MPs, is suspended because she described Israel's genocide as a "genocide".
Black Labour MPs brief Channel 4 News that they're too scared to talk about anti-Black racism in Labour because the leadership might purge them.
Labour hires Martin Forde QC, one of the country's most senior Black barristers, to do a report which uncovers a hierarchy of racism. They fail to adequately respond to his recommendations, then when he speaks out, send him a menacing letter ordering him to be quiet.
Faiza Shaheen, a hugely talented Muslim woman of colour who became a celebrated academic, is purged as a candidate for her home constituency, publicly humiliated in the Murdoch press, with Labour citing her criticising Islamophobia in the party as one of the reasons for purging her.
Apsana Begum, another Muslim Labour MP, is abandoned by the party leadership after suffering domestic violence and pursued for nakedly factional reasons.
We could go on, but - for some reason?! - Keir Starmer has the worst personal ratings of any Labour leader of the opposition amongst minority Britons since those records began in 1996.
He went into this election with ratings more than 50 points lower among minority Britons than Tony Blair on the eve of the other Labour landslide in 1997.
And now they treat a charismatic Black candidate making waves taking on the racist Right in the UK.
This record is awful. Absolutely awful. And our institutionally racist media has ignored it.
Well, let's see how this all goes when they're actually in power, shall we.
In the 1980s, a 21 year old shop worker in Dublin called Mary Manning refused to put a single grapefruit through the tills.
Why? Because it was a product of apartheid South Africa. And though she was pressured and threatened by management, and eventually suspended along with 9 other workers, she never backed down.
These workers went on strike for 3 years. They held picket lines at night to block the delivery of South African produce. One woman, a single mum called Veronica Munroe, lost her house because she couldn't pay the mortgage.
And I can't help but wonder, had they been pundits at the time, how Marina Hyde and Richard Osman might have talked about Dunnes Store workers. Would they have seen the value of refusing to co-operate with the apartheid regime, no matter how small the act?
Or would they have branded them "wreckers" too?
Because I am losing my mind, I try to say these things to myself:
- this depravity is designed to break international solidarity, telling us there is nothing we can do so give up;
- the Palestinian people have not been defeated;
- every Empire falls;
Do everything you can.
13 of 31 members of Labour’s shadow cabinet have received donations from a pro-Israel lobby group or individual funder, including Keir Starmer, Angela Rayner, David Lammy and Rachel Reeves.
👉Two-fifths of Starmer’s cabinet funded by pro-Israel lobbyists

This is both wonderful and infuriating. If you like the Greens, VOTE FOR THEM. "tactical voting" ensures our system stays two party, and is the exact reason both major parties are trash this time out.
Keir had been accused of excusing war crimes. Anyone wrongly accused of something so depraved would rush to say "That's not what I meant." But he waited 9 days. Because he did mean it. Only when the political cost became too great did he pretend that he didn't. He's a scummy liar
