I care for my bed-bound adult son with very severe ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis) and I’m writing a book: I Believe You: When Doctors Won’t a Mother Must.
@TomKindlon So how do we clinically “show” this condition - my son has severe ME and “crashes” when raising his head in the bed too high. A nurse dismissed this because BP didn’t change enough.
@CaroleBruce17 They have very strict rules. I don’t know them all, but I frequently have posts rejected. For example, my Severe ME son, a musician, was able to sing softly into a mic for the first time in more than 3 years, but my post was rejected because it had a Spotify link.
Check out this excellent @cnn piece on the urgent need to address the predicted rise in chronic fatigue syndrome cases linked to COVID-19 and why I recently introduced HR 7057 to provide funding for research into ME/CFS: https://t.co/z02Xe4cPYV
