As a @pennlaw alum, I feel deeply saddened and disappointed. As a human rights scholar, I’m also significantly troubled.

“During a hearing on Tuesday, UPenn President Liz Magill, … was asked if a call for genocide of Jewish individuals would be considered harassment under the school’s policies.  
“If the speech becomes conduct, it can be harassment,” Magill said in response, prompting Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) to retort, “Conduct meaning committing the act of genocide?”  

At a time when Penn students need our full support, president @lizmagill has failed them.

I don’t want to take into consideration what was said later.
Penn students and academic community deserve better . They deserve moral clarity. Humanity needs moral clarity. Those who can’t profess it, should step down.
