@pediadatrician @iRise_NFT@responsiblekare Life experience in any profession definitely helps in relating and working with patients, and I think my nursing experience was a huge plus. A friend was in finance before becoming a doctor, and that helped him as well!
@pediadatrician I made the RN>MD switch, now an IM/EM resident. While having a program would help support many nurses make the transition, I agree with @responsiblekare that admission guarantee admission isn’t the right road. Non-healthcare folks who’d be great doctors are never accepted either
Our poor city. Tonight is awful, and tomorrow morning will show just how devastating this is. Please pray for no injuries. #NolaTwitter#neworleans#tornado
@ForensicFeline Driving with my four cats for 5 days was an experience I have no intention of repeating. I would vote flying with them if you can make it work!
@MSaphenous I applied EM/IM, with both EM and IM as back ups. I am a Canadian IMG and wanted to apply broadly to help my chances. I matched EM/IM at my favourite program last year. DM me if I can help in any way!
@BethGay45 As an IM/EM resident, I love seeing the two specialties coming together in this thread. As corny as it may be to say, teamwork makes the dream work!
If you’re an #IMG who is EM/IM bound or #EMbound, please feel free to DM me! I matched EM/IM, and understand how the process feels. #medtwitter#Match2022
