It's #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek!
Representation for children with lifelong speech and language challenges is crucial in the journey towards a more inclusive society💙 But there's still a lot of work to be done...
This is scary. Government must listen.
If cuts are made, hundreds of thousands of children with complex speech and language challenges could be left in the lurch.
We can't let children's rights to specialist support be violated just to save some money.

Why is there no mention of speech and language challenges despite the evidence we submitted to the inquiry?😕
Very disappointing seeing as we know that in some areas of disadvantage, as many as 50% of children are starting school struggling with talking and understanding words💔
CCPNR are looking for a speech and language therapist to join our friendly team. If you are interested in working as part of an MDT offering community rehab across the East of England we would love to hear from you! #ABI@ABI_CEN@AbicaCen#slt#CCD https://t.co/cuQZFaceo1
By failing to provide timely support for children with neurodevelopmental conditions, we're robbing them of their childhoods and potential, while wasting millions on tribunals where families win nearly every time.

This week in the Assembly I raised the importance of Speech and Language Therapy & the excellent report by @RCSLTNI where they highlight the explosion in demand for SLT but the lack of provision. Early intervention is key. Clear steps need to be taken by DoH to address this.
Do you have a spare bike in the shed, or thinking of getting a new one? Please consider donating it to us! A bike would open up a world of possibilities and freedom for a survivor struggling to get out and about.

The flowcharts and tables are particularly helpful. For example, I pointed someone to this one re under 5s today.
It is not the case that we can't diagnose DLD in under 5s. https://t.co/WEGHigddHm
