Manipur: The lies spread by this hanubi & Meitei terrorist overground worker is outrageous. Yesterday’s attack was carried out by Meitei separatist terrorists right next to Nambol Bazar—barely a kilometre from Nambol PS. How on earth could Kukis even reach so close to Imphal?

Tonight in Lamka, we held a candlelight vigil to honor the soldiers who fell to Meitei terrorism. To us, their sacrifice is not just a memory it is a call to conscience. We stand united as people to remember, to demand justice, and to ensure their blood is not forgotten. Rest well, brave souls. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳🕯️
Kudos to @assampolice for their swift and decisive action in apprehending the accused. Such crimes are unforgivable and must be punished with the harshest penalties under IPC & POCSO. Our first priority should always be justice for the victim and ensuring safety for every child and woman.

🚨BREAKING
Guwahati, September 17, 2025 :
Assam Police have detained five #Meitei students hailing from Manipur following allegations of gang-raping a minor Tripuri girl. The arrests were made after the victim lodged a complaint, prompting a swift investigation. Authorities recovered incriminating digital evidence, including videos of the assault, from the suspects’ phones, confirming the involvement of multiple perpetrators. The incident reportedly occurred earlier this month at a rented residence, where the victim was allegedly deceived and lured before the assault took place.
The accused, identified as Robinson Mayengbam, Nongmai, Alex, Oskar, and another accomplice, face charges under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act. Sources suggest these individuals may be linked to a group of Meitei students from Assam Down Town University (ADTU), previously involved in a controversy for allegedly disrespecting the National Flag during Independence Day celebrations earlier this year.
Assam Police must emphasized that the case is being treated with utmost priority, ensuring a thorough and fair investigation.

The influential Kuki-Zo Council (KZC) has extended its full support to the PUCL Independent Tribunal’s Report. The KZC underscores the now-irreversible divide and calls upon the Government of India to urgently recognise this reality by establishing a separate administrative framework for the Kuki-Zo people.
