Hey @BrandonTierney you need to read this book. It illustrates the lifelong incompetence of Woody Johnson and explains why the Jets are helpless while he owns them.
@hanging_z @FrankConniff There is a lot of real crossover between Columbo and Apes. Both Cornelius (Short Fuse) and Zira (Suitable for Framing) appeared in episodes, and so did Dr Zaius (Forgotten Lady)
Hey @columbophile someone at Sirius Radio’s @40sJunction must be a Columbo fan. In the same block I heard “Speak Low” and two songs later was “Walking My Baby Back Home” both from the episode “Forgotten Lady”. #Columbo
@columbophile Kids is another mystery. Except for a reference to “not finding a babysitter” excuse for his wife. There’s not a lot of actual evidence for kids. He busts the commissioner and has a picture of his niece and nephew in the top drawer.
Hey @columbophile is there ever any confirmation that the first name is Frank? Except for that one close look at his badge wallet I don’t recall it ever being said.
@columbophile I accept no evidence past “The Conspirators”. Sorry but I’m hardcore original series. The writing, production, and character nuance are unmatched by any later episode. It had in fact “jumped the shark” into the later episodes. Some make me cringe. Exploited.
