Here comes once in a lifetime work tweet: I feel fortunate to work on this. big kudos to @shiweiwang@ychaparov 💕 All of our hard work has made small difference today but I'm sure so much more coming soon!

Story to be updated soon with more: Am hearing that several “critical” infra engineering teams at Twitter have completely resigned. “You cannot run Twitter without this team,” one current engineer tells me of one such group. Also, Twitter has shut off badge access to its offices.
Shout out to all the workers at Twitter. You all built a vital place for connection and deserved so much better.
Millions of people appreciate the space you built and the hard work that went into it. Thank you 💙
can we erase our history?
is it as easy as this?
maybe in other realities
the road never took this twist
and I can close the door on us but the room still exists

Anyone with half a brain would know that this is flagrantly unconstitutional, which is exactly why it's not surprising that it was introduced by legislators in Texas.
The Twitter CEO is bantering mockingly about an employee he just fired with an account that traffics in anti-LGBT hate and very recently contributed to threats of violence against childrens’ hospitals.
Twitter employees take pride in being able to speak up to power, the same principle this platform was built on. 2 yrs ago, I openly criticized execs for their lack of diversity. Instead of firing me, they reached out directly and ran focus groups with women and folks of color.
One of the takeaways of this has to be: anti-union owners would sooner ruin their business than acknowledge the value, skills, and institutional knowledge of their work force
I just submitted my resignation letter to Twitter. I'm so grateful for the experience of building this platform with amazing tweeps for the last 6.5 years.
Twitter changed my life...but I still couldn't believe it had to end this way. #LoveWhereYouWorked
