सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि ट्रैफिक चालान की बकाया रकम वसूलने के लिए अधिकारियों को अब कुछ असामान्य उपायों पर विचार करना चाहिए. कोर्ट ने कहा कि अगर लोग ई-चालान का जुर्माना नहीं भर रहे हैं, तो बकाया रकम को बिजली बिल से जोड़ने के बारे में सोचा जाना चाहिए. अगर बिजली बिल का भुगतान नहीं किया जाता तो कनेक्शन काटने का प्रावधान होता है. ऐसे में इस विकल्प को अपनाने से लोग ट्रैफिक चालान का भी भुगतान कर देंगे.
