This is not an isolated incident; it is a grotesque symptom of a deeply systemic, toxic work culture where employees are treated like property rather than human beings.
Physical Assault as "Management": Resorting to violence against an employee is a criminal offense, not a workplace dispute.
Complete Disregard for Mental Health & Family: If a father cannot even ask to celebrate his child's birthday without fearing physical retaliation, what have we become?
Attempted Cover-ups: Reports indicate that senior officials immediately rushed to the police station to "persuade" and suppress the matter rather than standing up for the victimized employee.
The solidarity shown by over 150 SBI employees who surrounded the C-Division police station late at night to demand justice is commendable. They stood up when leadership miserably failed them.
Demand for Absolute Accountability 🛑
We demand that the top management of SBI stop sweeping these incidents under the rug. Corporate success cannot be built on the broken dignity of its workforce.
Immediate Termination & Arrest: The culprit official must not just be transferred or suspended; they must be terminated immediately and face the full force of criminal prosecution for physical assault and workplace harassment.
Institutional Overhaul: SBI Top Management needs to issue a public apology and implement independent, strict anti-harassment cells that protect employees from tyrannical seniors.
End Toxic "Ownership" Culture: No job is worth your self-respect.

BIG CHANGE IN SBI WORK CULTURE
#SBI Chairman said that some branch staff are now being shifted into SALES roles.
SBI will also train branch employees specifically for cross-selling products.
This means the pressure on branch staff is only going to increase:
• More sales targets
• More insurance & investment pushing
• More cross-selling pressure
• More daily monitoring in the name of performance
Today they call it redeployment.
Tomorrow it will become target-based harassment.
Bankers joined for banking operations and customer service not to become full time sales agents.
This is the beginning of the next level of pressure in Indian banking.
