@AJseashore@WingSuitZero@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs Yep they have zero incentive to try enforcing delivery to the door bc it opens the misclassification argument. No need to solve the issue tho, they know consumers will just blame drivers when it doesn't happen--all the while they reap the benefit of a massive 1099 workforce.
@WingSuitZero@AJseashore@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs it is true though. contractors are required to deliver food, the exact specifics of how they do so can't be controlled b/c it would misclassify them as employees. the problem isn't fixed bc DD knows consumers will just blame the driver (who isn't required to perform this task).
@WingSuitZero@AJseashore@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs labor law says independent contractors can't be told how to complete their tasks (behavioral control) or companies risk them being legally classed as employees. if DD is doing this it's to stop drivers from claiming employee status+benefits--bad for drivers/customers, good for DD
@crowcialist people aren't sure where to place commas + have no idea how to use a semicolon. It's mind boggling the places you would find commas because of people writing in the cadence of their internal dialogue--not surprised this has devolved into avoiding linking clauses altogether.
@ShabazzStuart@Tshralt hard to convince people when the bill comes due and the economic benefit doesn't match fiscal return. NY taxpayers footing the bill for a project that makes it easier for other potential taxpayers to migrate out of the city/state is painfully unpopular.
@lurking2472@AdamRamsay given the breadth of literature on the prevalence of these illnesses in women i'd say it's much more likely you've got algorithmic blinders on than that young women are experiencing munchausens en masse
Me and all this girls bodies met up and had an open hoop run. Some tough conversations were had between games. I thought I loved her more than them but I was wrong lol.
