@thenjry@WingSuitZero@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs Well when it happens like in the OP I am not going to get mad at the driver. If the driver would have known the person expected the groceries to be brought up they never would have accepted in the first place. It saves everyone time.
@BigDaddyDougey@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs Why? Are you against the driver having all relevant information before deciding to accept or decline a delivery? Kind of their right to decide ya know?
@manmadeforever@WingSuitZero@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs Oh I remember it being on the news with Uber and Lyft fighting for independent contractor status. It is just to screw the drivers. Apparently a lot of other people want to screw the drivers as well.
@TimiTV4@MomsPostingLs You can offer whatever you want. I think the drivers should have all relevant information before they decide to accept or cancel. Apparently the instructions are hidden on purpose. I always go down and meet the driver.
@Shawntiepb2a@Archie81_@MomsPostingLs Drivers are independent contractors and can accept or decline a delivery for any reason. Distance, location, pay or instructions. They should be provided with all relevant information before they choose to accept or decline.
@Zocean777@MomsPostingLs I understand. Apparently Uber and Door Dash hide that info from the driver so they won't decline. The driver should have that information up front to minimize cancellations and save everyone time.
@Archie81_@MomsPostingLs I have been doing research on this and apparently Uber and Door dash hide instructions from the driver because they would be more likely to decline. That info should be provided to the driver up front so they can decide to accept or decline and save everyone time.
@WingSuitZero@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs This isn't difficult. All relevant information should be provided to the driver before they accept or decline. They have every right to say, I don't want to go that way. I don't like those instructions. That one doesn't pay enough. They can decline for any reason.
@2dsworld@MomsPostingLs Well I guess that is a choice they get to make then isn't it? Their job is to do what they agreed to do when they accepted the job. I think there would be less cancellations and less wasted time for everyone if they were given that information before they accepted.
@2dsworld@MomsPostingLs Drivers are independent contractors and should be given all relevant information before deciding to accept or decline a gig. They have every right to cancel if they find out the terms of what they agreed to has changed.
@WingSuitZero@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs Pizza delivery guys are employees of the restaurant. They are not independent contractors. They don't get to accept or decline as they see fit. Uber hiding relevant information from the driver is pretty vile actually.
@Zeezlebop@Exothaumic@MomsPostingLs Yeah apartment people are apartment people after all. It blows my mind how mad some of them are. This whole thing makes no sense.
@2dsworld@MomsPostingLs I understand. The driver should have probably cancelled at the store when they received the delivery instructions. Generally though I am getting responses from people I am assuming didn't just have knee surgery.
@allaboutmari_@tjm585@MomsPostingLs drivers are not employees. They are independent contractors. They accept and decline jobs on an individual basis. They should be provided all relevant information before they decide to accept or decline. ETA, distance, delivery instructions.
@Mstatefan91@MomsPostingLs Yea, lol I don't think many people on food apps go in and up their tips. Maybe. But I guess uber and DD hide the info from the drivers because they know the drivers won't take those orders. They should give the drivers that info up front before accepting or declining.
