@CameronCorduroy I had a $600,000 over 5 years NSF Physics grant terminated last year because our grant mentioned "polarization" which was included in the banned terms list. We were discussing the polarization of light. We never got the grant reinstated.

I don’t think anyone will ever be able to fully comprehend the extent of intergenerational trauma that is being created right now as we speak. This will be a stain on the history of humanity forever.
This is so profoundly evil. I cannot bear it, how can anyone bear it? My 3-year-old has cancer and every day, here in the lap of privilege, is a battle. Do you have any idea how cruel this is? They are killing everyone, right down to the sickest child, who they call “a threat”.
there's is absolutely no fucking reason keith porter jr's GFM hasn't triple'd it's goal by now. but it hasn't even completed it yet.
his family and story are actively being pushed out of the news cycle while his killer faces absolutely no repercussions.

“We can’t just attack Greenland” is the “Ukrainian refugees look like us” of interventionist discourse. Suddenly there is a norm that can’t be transgressed that was not there for Gaza, Venezuela, Syria, Pakistan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran
not enough ppl know about the black family that had tear gas shot into their car in Minneapolis deploying all their airbags, suffocating their kids, and hospitalizing a six month old.
German reporters are covering it bc American media won’t
Australian officials are currently trying to scheme up ways to sneak the president of Israel into the country for a visit without him getting confronted by massive anti-genocide protests.
Read that again.
When you are doing things like this, you're on the wrong side of history.
With the introduction of the Hate and Extremism Bill 2026, there is a glaring omission: the legislation ignores Indigenous Australians as a group that has experienced-& continues to experience — the most sustained and harmful impacts of racism in Australia.
Real legislation requires those who have paid the greatest and longest price for racism in this country to be named, protected, & centred in our laws-not ignored-which simply just magnifies and dismisses the harm.
This is not a matter of opinion. It is established in peer-reviewed epidemiological and public health research that racism is a measurable determinant of Aboriginal health and wellbeing (see some peer reviewed articles below).
If legislation aimed at confronting hatred in Aust does not explicitly acknowledge & address the documented harms of racism against Indigenous people, then its not evidence-based lawmaking. It argues a hierarchy of harm.
And yes, without irony I will be switching off the comments on this post because every time I mention the word Aboriginal on this page the racial vilification and hate is overwhelming

As an Australian, I'm genuinely horrified by the AUS Govt's, NSW Govt's and mainstream news media's support for the false Zionist narrative. Israel is an apartheid terrorist state, committing unspeakable atrocities against the Palestinian people. #EndTheOccupation#FreePalestine
Disgraceful by the @westaustralian to link the peaceful anti-genocide movement & the bridge march with the horrific antisemitic terror attack in Bondi.
Yesterday a friend was abused in a shopping centre simply for wearing her keffiyeh.
This misleading & hateful commentary must end & must be called out at the highest level level @AlboMP
