@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Yes life risk is same , but you should apply the same logic across all ranks in army , navy , airforce , ips , ias etc the rank structure exists and so does the difference in salaries . There are different entries for vacancies for different ranks so does the benefits
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 I won’t comment much on the departed but top brass and certain people of MOD are politically motivated . Maybe an opportunity for a governorship or other cream appointments. Regarding msp please understand the rank structure across all cadres , you will get your answers
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Yes , it’s a constitutional right given based on certain parameters . The fight is if one service is fulfilling all the parameters based on which NFU is given to other services , then the same can’t be denied to ARMY.
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Please read , it will educate you better . How msp , grade pay , rank pay and other perks are calculated, it’s not a birth right . Every pay and perks have a scale it’s not free rations . Please read the logic and calculation behind this , then we can debate further on this .

Respected Sirs,
For the benefit of the larger fraternity and to remove any confusion:
This Military Secretary’s letter dated 28 Oct 2015 (attached) has been in circulation on social media platforms for the last few days.
It granted a special “Non Functional Scale of ₹80,000/- fixed equivalent to Army Cdr’s pay” to only 9 specifically named Lt Generals.
This was a one-time selective measure, not a regular or continuing NFU policy applicable to all Lt Generals.
We seek this clarification purely in the interest of truth and transparency, to have complete clarity on the broader NFU demand.
Grateful to our seniors for guidance.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

42 years. Four pay commissions and still no resolution.
The core issue driving discontent among Defence Forces officers remains ignored.
Hopefully, the Eighth Central Pay Commission finally shows the intent and courage to fix what has been pending for over four decades.
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 I agree with you on the MNS point it shouldn’t have been but it is done by one of our generals , Jaichands are within the Army . We don’t realise we have been denied OROP & now NFU too. It high time that our top brass should grow a spine and put their foot down without compromise
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Sad part is the cadre review which is due for past 45 years hasn’t taken place .Without cadre review we are still at the mercy of govt and babu . In other services like IAS , IPS Maj Gen rank is given at service of 17 year whereas in Army you are well aware 85% is still at Lt Col
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Given any pension , whereas options to leave at 17 , 22 and subsequently after Subedar all provisions are in place . Please the str of officers and defi of officers. With an auth of 20 offr only 7-8 ka present were the work load it remains the same, jco str has been incr to 62
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 Yes all across the service everyone is getting these facilities , facilties are based on you rank and pay . The same pay and privileges is across all IAS, IPS , IRS and IFS . Please the condition of other paramilitary forces . Offrs can’t leave before 20 years and SS are not
@JANGs61@LtColNarinder05@dpatel512 I think they should remove MACP from Jco/Or too , that is also a form of NFU for ranks . If we are looking at parity then MACP should also be removed .
NFU given to All Civillian officers of Central Govt (AIS,Group A and CAPF).
Intentionally Denied to Armed Forces Officers initially .
Now a weird logic being given to court that it is difficult to pay NFU to Forces because calculations are too complicated and there is NO MONEY to pay( this logic can be then given for all economic cases).
Rough cost per year for NFU to Armed Forces comes to 1800 Crores ,whereas Govt's expenditure on just Advertisements is more than 6200 Crores per year .
Per year cost of upkeep of 788 Members of Parliament comes roughly to 3888 Crores .
Expenditure on NFU to Civil Services over 40000+ will be roughly 3600 Crores per year

Update – Case not heard today (23 Apr 26). Likely next Wednesday.
Dear Col Mukul,
We continue to wait with hope and patience.
While this time is available, we most respectfully request all stakeholders to flood X with dignified appeals to the Hon’ble Supreme Court on the following points:
▪️The High Level Committee (of which a senior DMA representative was a Member) has recommended against granting NFU to Armed Forces personnel, citing financial implications and complexities.
▪️However, the CDS had given a positive recommendation in favour of NFU.
▪️It appears that the higher echelon of the Armed Forces is either not fully aligned or is being used as a spokesperson for the Government’s stand.
We most earnestly pray to the Hon’ble Supreme Court to:
▪️Give sympathetic and humanitarian consideration to the unparalleled selfless service, sacrifices, and unlimited liability of the Indian Armed Forces.
▪️Examine the matter on principles of equity and parity — since NFU has already been granted to all other Central Civil Services and CAPFs.
▪️Not give overriding weightage to the High Level Committee recommendations once the matter is before the apex court.
Call to Action
We appeal to:
▪️All Super Senior Veterans (Lt Gen and above) — who regularly appear on national TV debating Ukraine, US-Israel-Iran, etc. — to kindly devote time and energy to flood X in support of NFU for their own brethren.
▪️Media and Citizens of this great Nation — who have seen us sacrifice our lives in hot wars and stand by you during every natural calamity and failure of civil machinery — to raise your voice for justice.
Either grant NFU to the Armed Forces or withdraw it from all other services.
No step-motherly treatment please.
We continue to repose full faith in the wisdom and justice of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
Jai Hind!
