NGT rules clearly state that such constructions or laying sewerage pipes inside lakes territory is not permitted.

We handed over the cycles sponsored by @SoftwareAG to the guards deployed at kaikondrahalli, sowl kere and kasavanahalli lakes.

The cycles help them commute to the lake everyday as well as in doing the rounds as all 3 lakes have ~2km pathway.

Kaikondrahalli kere’s Kalyani waits for divine intervention every year for a clean up. The BBMP ward officials clean it up not more than 10days before Ganesh Chaturthi with all promise of cleaning it immediately after.

A year has gone by and the next Ganesh Chaturthi is looming large on the horizon. No sign of any cleanup yet. Who can we hold accountable when SWM contractors have not been paid for 3 years and all AEEs are pulled into election duty!

We have requested BWSSB and BBMP lakes dept to collaborate and execute the much delayed Kaikondrahalli diversion drain and BWSSB UGD project together. Hopefully execution of this project will remove sewage from the entire lake chain of Kasavanahalli, Kaikondrahalli lake...
