@generalkellogg Keith, peace in Ukraine is possible only with a strong US response to Russian aggression and occupation. Appeasement will only make Russia stronger and feed its imperial ambitions.

Today, from the military operating in the #Kursk direction, we received new video evidence confirming strikes on concentrations of North #Korean servicemen, including with the use of #HIMARS missiles equipped with cluster warheads.

An interesting article was published in @POLITICOEurope. One possible reason for this decision might be a study on #Russian influence in the NIS. In January 2024, we published the following investigation, which, among other things, dealt with the NIS.

Despite heavy criticism from both russians and Ukrainians, the Tallinn Film Festival will proceed with screening the russian movie "Deaf Lovers".
Festival organizers also argue that it is not a "russian film", despite it being directed by russian filmmaker Boris Guts and featuring both russian actors in lead roles.
By ignoring the documented atrocities committed by russian soldiers against Ukrainian civilians and women in particular, the director presents a love story between a Ukrainian woman and a Russian man in Istanbul. This portrayal is seen by many as unrealistic and misleading, as it fails to reflect the true sentiments of Ukrainians towards russians in the current context.
We, Ukrainians, want to make it clear that this movie is a direct insult to Ukraine’s reality, creating a false narrative that disrespects the countless victims of the Russian invasion who were raped, tortured, and killed. This is not a time for romanticized stories; it’s a time to confront a brutal truth, because the war in Ukraine is still ongoing.
We urge all Estonians and people who care to help us highlight the inappropriateness of showing this film. Please stand with us in respecting our pain, especially as we work tirelessly to counter Russian propaganda that distorts our reality for the whole world.
Today, in 9 languages, we publish our new investigation:

North Korea recently tested a new ballistic missile, with record flight time and altitude. The world merely watches as this threat grows.
Through Moscow’s assistance, North Korea has advanced its artillery and missile capabilities. Now, they are learning the tactics of modern warfare. Thousands of North Korean soldiers are already near Ukraine’s borders, preparing to fight. And the world is still watching.
We know where these North Korean troops are gathering in Russia. We could act preemptively if we had the means—long-range capability. Yet, America, the UK, and Germany watch.
We understand the logistics pipeline between Russia and North Korea that enables this aggression, and it must be stopped. Strong Asian nations, including China, have a role to play. If China truly advocates for ending the war, it must act.
[Oh, the previous tweet was accidentally deleted, so we are posting a repeat]
Today, an intriguing update emerged on counter-propaganda efforts aimed at encouraging North Korean soldiers on the battlefield to lay down their arms. According to @KyivIndependent, citing the South China Morning Post @SCMPNews, a group of nearly 200 North Korean defectors residing in South Korea have offered their expertise in engaging with North Korean military forces to assist in a psychological campaign against Moscow’s allies.
“North Korean soldiers are essentially there as mercenaries, but we would go as goodwill volunteers,” said Lee Min Bok, a key figure in the initiative, in a message directed to the Ukrainian Embassy in Seoul. He added, “Just our presence in Ukraine could make a significant impact on North Korean troops’ morale,” explaining that they’re often treated as “cannon fodder.”
“North Korean soldiers could find hope and courage from our presence, inspiring them to seek freedom across the border,” Lee continued.
Another member of the initiative, Ahn Chan Il, head of the World Institute for North Korea Studies, explained, “We’re all military veterans who understand North Korean military culture and psychology better than anyone else. We’re ready to serve as psychological warfare agents through loudspeaker broadcasts, leaflet distribution, and even as translators.”
This initiative is essentially a response to informal calls from the international volunteer community https://t.co/C3g1ykjuTj, which had previously invited contributions for leaflet content and broadcast messaging aimed at North Korean forces. Volunteer and grassroots initiatives are stepping up with support, yet the challenge now lies in diplomatic negotiations: can Ukraine quickly deploy these defectors and allow them to collaborate with military translators at the frontlines?
The process is complex and requires political decisions and new mechanisms for secure operations. However, this could be an invaluable experience, potentially disrupting enemy plans to deploy North Korean soldiers on the frontlines.
We urge policymakers and diplomats to avoid premature statements about the initiative’s feasibility. Even if these processes are challenging, it's crucial to maintain the “fog of war” so the adversary remains uncertain about whether this option will be activated or not.

The downing of the Il-76 over Sudan has only highlighted this issue, once again, reminding that it is essential to conduct more detailed and thorough monitoring of the #Russian airlifter fleet, which, much like the shadow maritime fleet, is used to evade international sanctions.

Do you remember the story about this woman who came out in Odesa to hang a Russian flag?
As it turned out, her family moved to Odesa from Perm, Russia. Her name is Yelena Chesakova.
The situation is really interesting. I recommend you read it all ⬇️
Washington has made a great show of supporting Ukraine "as long as it takes." But when we look closely we see that America's sanctions on Russia are flimsy. A Russian firm is gleefully obtaining American tech to bomb Ukrainian cities. Based on reporting from @InformNapalm:
2/ @buymeacoffee An employee from your company stated that our account was blocked because we thanked supporters on X (Twitter) for their contributions to the production of Wild Hornet drones. This seems to be a clear persecution on the principle of supporting #Ukraine already.
The retreat of a Russian infantryman after a drone strike on his unit. As noted by the National Guard soldiers of the Bureviy brigade, who published this video, drones have a huge psychological effect on the enemy. Drones with incendiary thermite charges likely have an even more serious impact on morale — fires around them add additional pressure.
