You don’t want a still physically developing 19 year old logging 20 minutes a night, he’s not Heiskanen. Zayne’s going to be a stud but it’s going to take some time to get him there.

@DarrenWHaynes @KeithM190525 Adding an elite forward like McKenna or Stenberg would be incredible, and would give the flames a crucial piece. But adding a player like that, to a pretty respectable young core, means that the chances of the Flames getting multiple top 3 lottery cracks is slim. Food for thought

@DarrenWHaynes @KeithM190525 Late follow up, but I wonder if the Flames ending up in a position to grab Carels and someone like Bjork is potentially a better outcome in the long run. Even with the rookies playing great, I don’t see this team pulling a 2015 next year. Could add Dupont or Joseph next summer.

@bigdaddybustard @RingOfFireCGY In a vacuum I'd rather have more games, especially a guaranteed Canada/US matchup, but it's frustrating to have this touted as a kickoff for a building that's supposedly worthy of hosting big events for the NHL, and then at the same time we lose the prestigious games to our rival

@bigdaddybustard @RingOfFireCGY We're getting it because we're paying 1.2 billion dollars for a new rink at the NHL's behest, but it's somehow not enough for the premier events they promised us. I'm happy to get more games, but the optics here indicate that Edmonton has more prestige. Bit of a slap in the face.

@stevenffc123 I was up at 5AM watching that and now have to go into work from noon until 10PM. I work at a golf course so have to pretend i’m in a good mood for all the members. Genuinely don’t know how I’m going to survive the shift without cussing out the scum in front of them.
