The Child Maintenance Service Desperately Needs Reform!

How can it be fair that I share equal custody of my two children, as verified by the CMS, yet I’m still forced to pay over £600 a month to my ex simply because she books doctor and dentist appointments?

I’ve always contributed equally – covering half of school trips, meals, and clothing. I’ve set up a fully equipped room for each child, ensuring they have everything they need in both homes. Yet, instead of being recognised for my efforts, I’m left feeling penalised.

The stress this has caused is overwhelming. I have two younger children whose lives are directly impacted by this system, which seems more focused on outdated formulas than on real fairness. With the rising cost of living, this strain is becoming unsustainable.

How many others are nearing breaking point due to this outdated approach? It’s time for the Child Maintenance Service to take a serious look at these issues before more lives are pushed to the brink.

This system needs urgent reform – before it’s too late!
