@Dungeroth @ID_AA_Carmack You can't push up/down or left/right simultaneously on nes, so 8 different states for the cross gives 3 bits. 7 bits in total, but start is almost always pause so I think 6 bits is accurate. If you manage to push left and right simultaneously in Zelda 2 there is a bug.
