Coining this
cogflation (n.) โ the collapse in the unit price of cognition driven by abundant machine intelligence, and the consequent repricing of every asset whose value depended on cognitive scarcity.
@trq212 This is awesome, but when will you have native deployment in EU? US data processing is a major showstopper for most enterprises who would love your products.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

@garrytan Great. Why did you choose to open source? I guess you could have raised lots of money on this. In the age of AI, do you belive open source is the future of SW?
We took another look at the capability gap between open-weight and proprietary models. Since the start of the year, open-weight models have lagged the state of the art by four months.
@bcherny Would love if you guys could share a bit more on how to push the edge while being safe in enterprise/industrial environments. Some features like auto mode is tempting but probably not optimal for this.
Polsia just raised $30M at a $250M valuation.
Approaching $10M annual run rate.
One Founder + AI. Zero employees.
Polsia runs companies autonomously.
It also ran its own fundraising.
I just showed up for signatures.
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
