Celo has announced that its native x402 facilitator now supports additional stablecoins in the form of @cngn_co’s $cNGN, as well as @RipioHQ’s $wMXN, $wCLP & $wPEN.

Following the update, x402/Celo now boasts support for 8 different currencies across 10 stablecoins.

The update means that AI agents operating on the $CELO blockchain can now process payments in a wide array of currencies, outside of USD-based tokens.

Celo stands as the most widely adopted network for stablecoins and this could soon become the case for AI agent transactions too.

For context, x402/Celo has now enabled more than 900,000 txns across more than 4,000 payers.

Gonna be a big end to 2026 for the Celo ecosystem.

Until now, I never let my agent pay for anything because I didn't trust it with my card

With Agent Vault, my agent never sees or stores my card details or passwords

Setup took just a few minutes:

- Signed in to the dashboard
- Added a card that my agent never saw
- Created an agent card with spending limits to make sure it didn’t go over budget
- Generated an API key to connect my Grok Bot through Agent Vault's proxy

My @higgsfield_ai subscription was due, so after set up I asked my agent to pay for it

It signed in, went to checkout, asked for my approval, and paid $15 using the agent card!
