Defending justice must never come at the cost of a lawyer’s right to practise.

The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) joins regional and international legal organisations in solidarity with Advocate Boniface Mwabukusi, President of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS) amid disciplinary proceedings seeking his permanent removal from the Roll of Advocates for statements made on behalf of the Society.

We welcome the High Court’s decision of 7 October 2026 to stay the proceedings and call for full respect for that order while his constitutional challenge remains before the courts.

We call for the withdrawal of the disciplinary application, an independent and impartial disciplinary mechanism, and protection of lawyers’ right to speak on justice, human rights and the rule of law without intimidation or retaliation.

An independent legal profession safeguards everyone’s access to justice. Protecting it is our collective responsibility.

Hakuna anaechunguzwa ili kudhibiti ajali nyingine isitokee, hakuna anaechukuliwa hatua .

Tujiulize kwanini barabara za uchumi mkubwa kutoka Dar - Tunduma, Dar - Mwanza , Dar- Mtwara , Dar - Arusha na Makambako- Songea miaka 65 baada ya Uhuru bado ni vibarabara vyembamba na vimejaa mashimo tupu.

Ukweli ni kwamba hizo barabara zingekua mbilimbili kila upande tungekua tumeondoa au kupunguza ajali kwa asilimia 95, hakuna ajali za kugongana uso kwa uso kama hii ya juzi kwasababu kila gari inapita upande wake.

Hakuna overtake mbaya, hakuna Shimo la kupasua tairi na kuanguka..

Kwanini barabara inajengwa leo, pamoja na ufinyu wake kabla hata ile diversion mliyokua mnapita kupisha ujenzi haijaota majani unakuta lami imebomoka inakua mashimo tupu… kwa Tanzania barabara ya changarawe iliyoshindiliwa vizuri inaweza kudumu kuliko lami..

Watanzania amkeni, huu ujinga wa ccm utatumaliza, mabarabarani, mahospitalini, vyakula, maji na kila kona ni matatizo.. Utawala huu umefitinika hawana wanachokiweza.

Kulaumu Madereva kwa ajali hizi nyingi ni uongo. Tatizo ni ccm na serikali kuiba fedha na kushindwa kazi ya kujenga miundombinu mizuri.

the TZ military once was respected and had integrity. Protected the nation and the people from tyrants like Idi Amin. Decades later, this is what has become of one of the most respected and patriotic military-used as a puppet by enemies of the state.
Under the corrupt criminal machine the CCM the cancer of corruption has metastasized esp. when Mwiny was made the MOD and under Kikwete/Samia -they destroyed the military while Chenge destroyed the rule of law in Tanzania!
