I worked four jobs, saved as much as I could, but still struggled. Thankfully I have a decent FT but it’s not as sustainable.
I don’t have the physical capability anymore to work a second. Thousands of people don’t. No one should go through this. I don’t understand.
I swear that every time I go run an errand, I see an increase of unhoused folks. The rage and sorrow that bubbles up because basic living is impossible, it destroys me.
I shouldn’t be forced to work multiple jobs as the only way to support myself.
I am grateful and privileged to have a family and community that supports each other. But it’s ridiculous that most of the people I know have little to no choice but to live at home. They’re taking care of their self and their family.
Accidentally clicked and apparently it’s my #MyTwitterAnniversary
Glad I made this account for a class (and my last college course at that!) because I wouldn’t have found some amazing classes and lectures, or become great friends with a classmate.
Nearly at the half-year check-in:
- two more exhibitions/openings down
- two deinstallations to go
- one more main installation to start
- more pet sitting
- lots of changes
- more traveling
- more pushes towards a better health state
- working and getting closer to my dream life
That email blast hasn’t even been out for half an hour and the @MarvelStudios “Echo” screening at work sold out 😭 Maybe I’ll still get a glimpse of Alaqua Cox in the galleries???
I’ve become attached to the dog my friend is fostering. *still looking for a family btw!*
I wish I could adopt him but I can’t. I’m totally going to cry when he’s adopted. I’ll miss him so much but so glad he’ll have a home!
