Huge Win for those of us who demanded that the Back Garden in Colaba be maintained as a mud ground!!

Today the local MLA, who was apparently pushing for an artificial turf there, has finally agreed to the demand made by us all- that the Back Garden will remain natural.

Glad to see public pressure work.

A decade ago, we had saved this ground from being converted into a swimming pool, and now we saved it from being an access controlled turf!

Congratulations to all the local residents, mandals (many of whom met me) and the media who helped us raise this demand!

I hope now the @mybmc maintains it as a natural playground and doesn’t come under such pressure again.
