There is some poetic justice in that Israel is the biggest loser in the US-Iran deal, since it was Israel who aggressively pushed for this idiotic war of choice.
And if it leads to Netanyahu losing the elections and ending up in jail, the justice will be near complete.
I strongly condemn today's Israeli strikes on Beirut. The strikes took place despite the ceasefire & at a time when the US & Iran are expected to reach an agreement that will pave the way to a peaceful resolution of this conflict.
This conflict is having a devastating impact on the world's economy.
I urge all parties to show maximum restraint at this crucial moment & I strongly hope for a successful outcome of the ongoing efforts by the US & Iran.
🔴 Israeli forces opened fire on a father and his child on Salah al-Din Street east of Deir al-Balah on Saturday, killing the child, Rayyan Abu al-Ajin, and critically wounding his father, Palestinian writer Mosab Abu Toha reports. He said Israeli forces then took both the child’s body and his injured father before later returning them several hours afterward.
Israel is running a network of torture camps for Palestinians. Our reports, Welcome to Hell and Living Hell, extensively documented a reality of extreme violence, starvation, and torture.
Palestinian prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care, and abuse in every facility where they are held.
These abusive practices are fully backed by the political leadership, which openly boasts about the harsh prison conditions. Some inmates are subjected to severe sexual assaults.
At least 89 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention facilities since October 2023 as a result of inhumane conditions, violence, starvation, and the denial of medical treatment.
Despite the extensive evidence, media investigations, and reports issued by Israeli and international organizations documenting torture in Israeli prisons, the international community continues to stand by and allow Israel to commit crimes against the Palestinian people.

🚨The recent images of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya are shocking evidence of Israel's abuse against Palestinian detainees.
Dr. Abu Safiya has been arbitrarily detained for one and a half years without charges, while being physically abused and denied healthcare. His recent solitary confinement adds a further layer of concerns over his deteriorating health.
Dr. Abu Safiya must be immediately and unconditionally released.
Israel must release all Palestinians arbitrarily detained. States must pressure Israel to stop abusing Palestinian prisoners. #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya
🔵 The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office says Israel’s Ofer Prison has imposed new restrictive and degrading measures on Palestinian prisoners during transfers to legal visits, while reducing lawyer meetings to just a few minutes.
The group says prisoners at the military facility located between Ramallah and Beitunia in the occupied West Bank, are subjected to constant shackling, verbal abuse and humiliating treatment while being moved around the facility. It also mentions a renewed outbreak of scabies and signs of severe emaciation and physical deterioration among detainees.
The office further says Israeli authorities have, for the first time, installed surveillance cameras inside rooms used for confidential lawyer-client meetings, and called for an international investigation into the escalating abuses at Ofer Prison.
🚨 NEW: More than 1,500 Palestinian patients have died waiting for medical evacuation as more than 16,500 remain trapped in Gaza, the Health Ministry says.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israel is preventing more than 16,500 patients in need of treatment abroad from leaving the Strip, despite the ceasefire in place since October.
Acting Undersecretary Maher Shamiya said more than 1,500 patients who had received medical referrals died before they could be evacuated. Only 1,204 patients have been allowed to leave through the Rafah and Karem Abu Salem crossings since limited medical evacuations resumed on February 1, 2026, after the crossings had been closed for roughly 20 months.
Shamiya said Israel was systematically obstructing access to life-saving treatment through prolonged security procedures and severe restrictions at the crossings. He added that many of the patients could be treated inside Gaza if Israel stopped blocking the reconstruction of the territory’s devastated healthcare system and allowed the entry of essential medicines, fuel, and medical supplies.
He warned that “every day of delay increases the number of victims and threatens the lives of more patients.” The Health Ministry has previously said 6 to 10 patients die each day from treatable diseases or injuries because they cannot access the care they need.

🚨 The first image of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to emerge since his detention, taken during the ongoing proceedings before Israel’s High Court of Justice in Jerusalem, shows him visibly emaciated, in stark contrast to his appearance before he was taken into Israeli custody.
His son warned this week that the life of Dr. Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, is in grave danger. He has been held in Israeli detention since December 2024 after refusing to abandon his patients in northern Gaza. The family says Israeli authorities transferred him to solitary confinement in Nafha Prison in retaliation for filing a legal appeal with Israel’s High Court.
According to the family, Dr. Abu Safiya is being held in a two-meter cell, forcibly starved like thousands of other Palestinian prisoners, and denied basic necessities, including clean water, medicine, and access to his lawyer.
💢 Israel ‘Investigates’ Whether Soldiers Abandoned Scene Without Calling for Medical Aid After Shooting Dead 7-Month-Old in Hebron
Israel’s military police are investigating whether soldiers who shot and killed seven-month-old Sam Abu Haikal in Hebron on Friday left the scene without rendering or summoning medical assistance, Ynet reported. IDF commanders called the alleged abandonment “a serious matter.”
The soldier opened fire after the car was already slowing to a stop and posed no danger to troops, B’Tselem said Tuesday sharing footage. The soldier fired two bullets that struck the windshield. One bullet hit the infant, who later died. His father, a university lecturer from Bethlehem, was wounded in the hand. The same bullet that killed the infant passed through his jaw and wounded his mother.
The father said he had already stopped the car and placed his hands on the wheel before the shots were fired. The IDF’s preliminary investigation found “no suspicion of an ideological incident.”
Investigators say the unit left the scene fearing a crowd disturbance — a justification IDF commanders said does not hold. “A soldier can fire by mistake fearing an attack. But once it is clear these are civilians, IDF orders require immediate medical assistance,” commanders told Ynet.

What does it say about you if you look at this infant and see a threat that must be eliminated?
And what does it say about the values of the countries that defend and enable these murders?
