@ScooterMcNeice Surely we need more than a 1 dimensional tap ruckman at pick 1? He must show more to warrant us using our first pick. This is such an important selection for us.
@ScooterMcNeice Brad Scott commented post Nth game on the tweaks made to allow better scoring efficiency (I assume trying to maintain possession as we head into attack vs speed). He also appeared to concede those tweaks may have gone too far. Interesting to see if there’s more dare this week.
@FlightPlanPod Not perfect, but a way to make something out of what otherwise could be nothing. Keep pick 9 and with an early bid on Kako, we must use pick 9 to match. Pick 9 is wasted. OR, trade pick 9 into picks to use to match a Kako bid as well as secure a 2025 first round pick.
@ESPNAusNZ@OlgunUluc Wow! No Thybulle, Goulding,
Cooks or White. Nick Kay over Thybulle (or even Jack White) is a strange call after Kay was exposed defensively in switches at the World Cup. Also Magnay over Cooks is a questionable selection. Cooks is so active 2 ways.
@grazi799@CoachMarcHart I’ve experienced and am working on exactly this with my team of 16yo boys (in Melbourne Australia)! My present approach is to preach patience and teach decision making.
@EFFEXLandscape@TheHoopHerald From a dribble, a genuine jump stop with 2 feet (not a stride stop) counts as a first step. You can then choose your pivot foot and take 1 further step. See FIBA Rules Art 25.2.1. Playing off 2 feet in the paint is an undervalued skill.
Long step technique and more being broken down by @MasonDCRogers in a masterful #masterclass tonight.

@essendonfc I am embarrassed to hear that the Club does not have an organisation wide set of values. Probably a good place to start to rebuild from the soulless, rudderless mess the current board and executive have presided over.
@ScooterMcNeice Great review. On field leadership must improve. Our clearances work has improved, but we really need to be more organised when we dont have the ball to apply pressure. That’s on field leadership. Too often, we are slow to set up defensively only to be scored on end to end.
@joshnelsonfilm @csmicpotato17 @essendonfc Definitely a glass half full outlook. I see signs of improvement but would now prefer us to protect our current draft position and target free agency. Let Rutten build the team his way, not mould a team that doesn’t fit his game plan.
