Wike could not save Asiwaju in Lagos State. He couldn’t save the Mandate in the FCT Abuja.

Peter Obi was the tsunami; he swooped in & swept away Wike & his co-conspirators.

Ikpeazu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, & Ortom lost their senatorial bids on the same day. Wike could not deliver them. Peter Obi won River State in 2023, & he is going to win it again with a big margin this time. All I see is a drowning man laying the foundation for a new round of rigging.

I was in Agbor yesterday for the joint flag-off of the Ika Federal Constituency and State Assembly campaigns.

It was encouraging to witness the enthusiasm, organisation and spirit of togetherness as our candidates, namely: Engr. Emmanuel Leonard Nwachukwu (Bawo), Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, Engr. Sylvester Chukwuedo and Engr. Emmanuel Ebite, alongside supporters and stakeholders, formally commenced the campaign journey.

In my remarks, I spoke about the need for a new direction and presented the NDC as an alternative to the present political order.

I also spoke about the attributes, sincerity and vision of our Presidential Candidate, Mr. @PeterObi and reflected on the strong support he received in Ika in 2023.

For me, politics should remain about people, ideas, engagement and our collective responsibility to build a better future.

I thank the good people of Ika Federal for the warm reception.

The journey towards a New Direction continues.
