Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is taking himself out of the running for the Jaguars’ head coaching job to stay in Tampa on a new contract that now will place him amongst the highest-paid coordinators in the NFL, per sources.

Sources: Buccaneers and three-time Pro-Bowl OT Tristan Wirfs reached agreement on a five-year, $140.63 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history. Wirfs was in the final year of a contract scheduled to pay him $18.24 million this year. He now is contractually tied to Tampa through 2029.

Update: Star WR Mike Evans sent the #Bucs a contract structure that would be "Acceptable" to him in order for him to stay in Tampa, according to @JosinaAnderson
Evans took the Buccaneers considerations into account in that contract structure as well, talks are still on going.
Evans has gone over 1,000 yards in each season of his career and it would be a feel-good NFL story if he stays and finishes his career with the Bucs.
