Brad Garlinghouse announced Ripple's INTENTION to drop the appeal, but I imagine that would be contingent on what the SEC does. 15 August key date for SEC and Ripple to provide status update on the appeals. Anything short of a clear position is going to lead to wider speculation of delaying tactics, geopolitical alignment or other theories of a done deal behind the scenes.
