@jwreynolds2030 Hey Jackson! Search altitude drops, drop catches and contact prep. Lots of great information. Just make sure you do some reading on how it works and why! Good luck!!
“Cat jumps” for the Sharks this morning. So much of our program is built around drops, landings and catches.
I tell the guys every year…two weeks into August there will be a line of guys with soft tissue stuff. Most will be from folks that didn’t spend much time in the off season/pre season program. Please prepare your body to accept the forces and the variables of the sport. The number 1 ability is availability!! @St_James_Sharks@StJamesFB

My answer to a question regarding coaching females vs males. This is my approach. If you feel differently, that’s ok. You do them no favors by treating them with kid gloves
The industry is starting to look down.
The foot and ankle are becoming a bigger conversation in training, rehab, performance, and health.
T=R: The Foot is my framework for thinking through the foot as part of the whole system.

A great reminder from Dr. Eric Cash @dormanstrength
Be athlete-specific, not sport-specific.
High school athletes already get plenty of sport-specific work through practices and competition. The weight room should build better athletes—stronger, faster, more powerful, and more resilient.
Also, loved hearing how Eric and a local club S&C coach communicate so they don't duplicate training. No ego. No double-dipping. Just doing what's best for the athlete.
And one lesson every coach should remember:
Never lie to a recruiter or scout.
Your credibility matters. If you exaggerate for one athlete, you hurt the next athlete who comes through your program.
The best compliment a high school strength coach can receive?
When former athletes arrive at college and text:
"Coach, we were fully prepared for this."
Parents and athletes should know there are outstanding strength coaches working in high schools across the country right now.

It is happening!!! Came out better than I could imagine. We can go crazy in the programming after input from our coaches. We will have a Gear 1 (FORCE), Gear 2 (Heavy Accel), Gear 3 (Light Accel), and Gear 4 (MaxV on G Unit)) to track along with 10 constant resistance loads.
I have enjoyed my time so far as a coach at St. James, and i am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a program that is building something special from the foundation up. Keep working and let's make some noise this year!
I got the chance to be in the weightroom with JV and B team more the last week or so than I have this summer, this week. Only a few guys in the group currently using PIVT…was impressed with this rising sophomore all spring semester. He was a guy who wanted to hit a max every day at first…had to be convinced about chasing bar speed and max intent over max load…I got his second warm up set and his third set at 205x4 today. I don’t care much about record boards but this guy will break our school record before it’s said and done. @StJamesFB
