@Hey_Its_Tempest Showbuckle was instrumental in getting my investment when I started getting interested in NJPW.
Honestly assumed he was getting a job with the company when he got took down.
@wherestherats@WrestlePurists Using a Bill Hicks sucking corporate dollar reference when he's gone to the smaller artsy (if still billion dollar) company instead of staying with the big corporation.
Irony of the highest order.
@JaxsonPoll1920@d_Keyzx9@FerozShaik46988@Peps_Wrestling Like anyone, he needs to find the groove that works for him.
I'd love to be wrong but don't think he ever gets above middle with the occasional upper middle, but that's fine as long as he's happy and healthy.
@d_Keyzx9@FerozShaik46988@Peps_Wrestling I would think it's fair to say they have at times made questionable choices.
Sammy Guevara doesn't deserve even a tenth of the hate he gets though.
@Squawk_77OO@FerozShaik46988@Peps_Wrestling Fair but he was only ever a tag guy there and don't think they even picked up any NJPW belts pre AEW. He wasn't anything approaching a star.
Everyone was somewhere before AEW and I'm not discounting anyone's pre AEW achievements, it's just Kyle only really broke through then.
@FerozShaik46988@Peps_Wrestling Whatever you think of the other 2 The Pillars were supposed to be the young home-grown future stars that the company would build on and he's in his 40s.
Kyle plus one. Maybe Takeshita. Not sure you can call Takeshita home grown. Kyle at least came through properly in AEW.
@Sinneswandel3 True but that's a problem in itself.
They never give them time to explore character/motivation.
Statlander completely rebuilds her character after winning the title with no explanation.
Willow announces she's injured in a backstage pre-tape instead of live.
Not good enough.
@Fightful I noticed the similarity tonight. Thought maybe the make-up was Luna-esque but the images on Google search didn't match up. She did look a lot like her though.
@Genericktag@BackupHangman I get why in storyline. The "but why" is more the overall direction
It's not making the destination of All In seem exciting, like I don't feel the urgency to run out and buy a ticket like I did in 2023
Just think Ospreay triumphant is more compelling than the will he won't he
