Enthralling Test Match cricket. India shown brilliant fight & skill on a very helpful pitch. Currently England lead by 180runs, 2 wickets left.
Every bowling attack in the world would back themselves to defend 200 on a pitch with this much movement so if India chase this score- they’ll deserve the W
Rishi Sunak had an opportunity to show genuine leadership. He could have said: "Don't be so crass Piers, it's not the role of a Prime Minister to gamble with desperate peoples' lives or government policy. Watching Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook smash New Zealand all around Old Trafford, the thought occurs - has English cricket ever had it so good? White-ball teams imperious. Test side reinventing the game. Even the Hundred was decent. Ignore doomsayers. This is the golden age
