@AncapAir @DropTheMaskPod The spirit of the statement is great. But precision is important, so newbies get it. Liberty is not the state’s to give. It’s our own. All the state can do is interfere with it. So:
The state will never stop interfering with your liberty. Ever.

WE don’t do anything. The majority provide status quo inertia. They keep statism going because they believe it. We are transitioning at this point from a situation where statism has total buy-in, to a situation where it does not. Along the way, the inertia shifts from carrying forward statism, to not doing that. As propaganda erodes (and the internet is insuring this), the belief in political authority erodes. An unconscious but tangible increase in skepticism. Eventually (when the boomer and late Gen X are no longer here) that trend accelerates. The new direction is inhospitable to statism, which erodes. That social/cultural situation becomes the norm, and the majority secure THAT with status quo inertia. No ideological shift or conscious raising (for the masses) necessary.
