Constructive Communication
If I shared this with you, I'm interested in having a conversation about a specific topic provided we can agree on the following pre-requisites for a constructive discussion. This is to make it more likely that neither of us are wasting our time. 🧵👇
@TheAliceSmith History can't be properly understood/interpreted without a proper understanding of economics and logic/philosophy. Once someone understands econ & logic/phil well enough, even history seems secondary.
@wil_da_beast630 Note that most of this is male-on-male violence. It doesn't directly translate to intimate partner violence.

@FemCondition@Patrick60284382@DogLoverOfPI Unrelated to this thread but I'm curious about your support of queer/trans ideology in general. Do you believe sex is a spectrum or do you believe sex is a binary but gender is different from sex? I think this is a common ground that sane ppl can agree on.

@Rothmus While I do think this is true, an objection I've heard is that the unmarried category combines both divorced and never married people - and it's the divorced people that lower the happiness score, due to legal system biases/complications. Thoughts on that?
@OneIsWorse@JamesLNuzzo No, genuinely asking about this study in particular. Though upon further thinking, since prisons are separated by sex, it would have to be the latter. And this is from 2006 so it's probably not trans women being counted as female perpetrators. Pls confirm.
@restapai@willhj79@GadSaad Broken window fallacy: There would be more/better/cheaper private universities to hire him if the gov't stopped spending on education & returned that money to the taxpayers.
@GadSaad Frederic Bastiat explained exactly how legalized plunder eventually becomes universal plunder and harms everyone. Consider using your podcast to cover this topic so that more people may learn. Only way to stop this societal collapse.

@GadSaad You've put your finger right on the pulse here. The reason legalized plunder continues is because people BELIEVE that they benefit from it, but in the long-run, such a system harms them as well. To stop legalized theft, we must show how it hurts the thief as well.
@PoojaPriyam_ Ma'am, but doesn't this further support the non-feminist view that differences between the sexes are important and that we should be using our complementary strengths instead of insisting in equal representation in all things?
