Interesting study on incontinence rates after BPH surgeries - higher in TURPs AEEP vs MIST or aquablation - ?related to amount of tissue removed? #AUA24
@drtevaho@Dr_KevinZorn I don’t know if there’s evidence that the focal bladder neck resection impacts on Ej function. But it definitely reduces bleeding - I’ve only been doing about 10-15 min though
@UroLori great thoughts post BPH poster session- I think it’s important for those doing aquablation and holep to collect and present data comparing outcomes so we can find where these 2 options sit in the treatment algorithms #AUA24
@MSLee_MD retrospective analysis of the PearlDiver™ Mariner database, a commercially available, all-payer claims, deidentified, U.S. database 275,000 BPH patients of whom approx 11,000 had some form of incontinence
@AdamMcQuilkinBS@SimaiMedical@Bio_Spectrum Thanks Adam- it’s a really efficient machine and we’ve had marked improvement in productivity since switching to it more than a year ago. Highly recommend!!
