Cochrane updated its PSA screening meta-analysis. 789,086 men across 6 RCTs.
➡️ PCa-specific mortality: rate ratio 0.87 (moderate certainty)
➡️ Metastatic diagnosis: RR 0.65
➡️ Adverse events / QoL: little to no difference
Why this matters: 💡 PSA screening is back on stronger evidentiary footing for disease-specific mortality. Shared decision making still drives the recommendation downstream and additional tools (biomarkers and MRI) continue to improve the gap.

PSA nadir at 24 weeks remains one of the strongest prognostic signals mHSPC, but the meaning depends entirely on metastatic volume.
➡️ Pooled analysis of 5 STAMPEDE phase 3 trials (n=7,129)
➡️ With abi±enza + PSA ≤0.2 ng/mL at 24 wks: 96-mo OS was 64% in low-volume mets vs 45% in high-volume
➡️ Non-metastatic, node-positive: 79% 96-mo OS
Could PSA nadir + volumetric burden refine clinical-trial enrichment for treatment intensification? 🩺

No antibiotics for transperineal prostate biopsy? 🤔
Multi-institutional cohort (n=904):
• UTI rate: 2.0% — no difference with vs without antibiotics
• Urosepsis: rare (0.2%), only in antibiotic group
• AUR: 4.9%, linked to larger prostate size
👉 Antibiotics may not be necessary for TPB

Examining guidelines on radiotherapy for #BladderCancer with carcinoma in situ. @ConstanceHuck joins @UroDocAsh to examine whether carcinoma in situ should contraindicate trimodality therapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The conversation highlights how historical data showing poor outcomes with CIS may be outdated, as older studies used split-course radiotherapy and inferior imaging techniques. #WatchNow on UroToday to learn more > https://t.co/FzLuRTa5ik
🚨ICE/Border Patrol agents were caught on camera committing a hit-and-run in Minneapolis.
In the video, an unmarked federal vehicle is stopped in the road. A legal observer is sitting in a car behind them, not violating the law, just observing.
Then, without warning, the agents start reversing the vehicle towards the observer…
But, they failed to notice a parked car sits directly behind them.
As the observer backs up, the federal vehicle slams into the parked car.
They stop… and pull forward.
You can see the moment they realized they just fucked up, and are debating what to do.
They realize no one is in it… so they drive away.
And this isn’t the first time…
ICE and Border Patrol agents are driving aggressively through communities across the country, using their vehicles as weapons, putting neighbors, families, and bystanders at risk.
And anytime they hit someone, instead of a parked car, they aggressively arrest the person they hit and say they were “rammed.”
For a department that constantly claims it’s hunting criminals, their agents sure seem to be the ones committing the crimes.
