Join over 50,000 people in signing the FSU’s petition to SAVE JURY TRIALS.
David Lammy is ploughing ahead with plans to restrict our ancient right to trial by jury. He claims it is the only way to tackle the backlog of 80,000 cases in the Crown Court. He is wrong.
The Institute for Government has said his plan would save only 2 per cent of Crown Court time, not the 20 per cent promised by ministers.
Judges, lawyers, MPs and victims of crime have all warned against the Government’s proposals, saying they would undermine public trust in the criminal justice system.
FSU research has shown that those charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be found not guilty in a Crown Court trial before a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one.
If David Lammy gets his way, more people will be punished simply for exercising their right to free speech.

48% of all social housing in London has a foreign-born head of the household, according to data from the 2021 census.
And 35% of them are either unemployed or economically inactive.
No wonder Khan woos the migrants. He’d be mad not to.
West Yorkshire Police says it can’t afford enough bobbies on the beat, but somehow finds over £1.4 million for 19 diversity and inclusion staff plus £361,000 for an outside trainer – the equivalent of 46 constables’ starting salaries.
This is a force with rising public concern about crime and community safety, yet its priority is a parallel bureaucracy of “positive action ambassadors”, EDI managers and external consultants.
If you ever wondered why no one turns up when your car is nicked but there’s always time for a hate‑incident webinar, this is the answer in black and white.
I’ve watched Rupert Lowe for hours and I’ve never heard him say or do anything other than sounding sincere, honest, forthright and active my with integrity…
That’s very rare in a political leader
Smashing up property and attacking a police officer with a sledgehammer is not “protest”
It’s violence
Zack Polanski is a disgrace. Anyone voting Green is supporting this nonsense
Ben is a good man, he gets a ton of abuse and a lot of racist comments - that will have an impact on you over a prolonged period of time. Middleton lacks integrity and has consistently failed to be an upright member of society in the UK - yes his conviction is spent but he is still banned from being a company director for 5 years for failing to pay taxes, taxes that could have gone to schools or hospitals etc hence why he now lives in Dubai.
Dear Kier Starmer @Keir_Starmer
Today we have all witnessed rioting on the streets of Brighton by masked left wing thugs.
We have seen bricks and bottles thrown. And police attacked.
I assume we will see early morning arrests. Fast tracked court cases. And severe prison sentences handed out.
The organised violence we have all witnessed today was far worse than anything seen at Southampton. And you are still giving out Draconian sentences for that unrest.
If you ever want to lose the "Two Tier Keir" nickname. Then this is your opportunity.
Harrow council hiring 7th century cavemen to hand out fines, which they recieve commission from.
Those arguing their case not to be fined are being threatened by the inbreds.
@johnmcdonnellMP@michelemooreEd Gaslighting. They were imprisoned for illegally breaking in to a high security building & deliberately injuring someone. Peaceful protect is not illegal. What they did was. I hope we see more of this.
Makerfield taxi driver, 63, faces life on benefits due to Labour's Andy Burnham’s Clean Air Zone madness!
John from Wigan has a 17-year-old taxi that’s immaculate and passes every emissions and MOT test.
But from 31 Dec 2026, Burnham’s policy bans any car over 12 years old, regardless of emissions.
John can’t afford a new £20k taxi and at 63 he’ll be forced out of work and onto benefits!
‼️This is the real cost of net zero virtue-signalling on working people.
Vote @RestoreBritain to end this assault on hardworking British people!🇬🇧
It is very clear this guy is trying his best to get us to focus on the national interest. Is he perfect? No. But we are all sinners!
The shameful lawfare enabling legislation against our veterans who served in Northern Ireland and the rancid Chagos deal obviously need ditching. He was a member of the government and must take some responsibility for them.
But he is surely right to argue - in non-partisan terms - that we need to take national defence more seriously. That is a whole-of-society and whole-of-economy effort. As he has rightly said, there are material and non-material dimensions to it too.
For my part, all I really care about is an energy and industrial policy rooted in reality. One that means we can confront the grand strategic challenges that people like Tony Blair, John Bew et al have said we face today. We cannot defend ourselves if we do not change direction on energy and ditch the statutory Net Zero target.
Time will tell whether there is any substance to Carns or whether it is all rhetoric. But for now, we should all listen to what he has to say.
🚨 CORRUPT JUDGE.
This is Lady Maggie Scott — a senior Scottish judge.
She allowed convicted child rapist (below) Daniel Cieslak to walk free with an absolute discharge after he raped a 12-year-old girl.
Instead of a conviction for rape, she said the child “looked over 16” and let him off completely — no jail, no sex offenders register.
In another case, she praised Algerian rapist Hamadache Hamza for “overcoming his difficult background” and setting up a hairdressing business, after he brutally raped a woman leaving her with internal injuries.
These are the people deciding justice in Britain.
No wonder victims lose all faith. No wonder predators laugh at the system.
Name them. Shame them. SACK THEM.
Protect our children.
“Freedom of speech in Britain is under attack. People have shown immense tolerance, but we will not accept the destruction of our liberty in the name of multiculturalism,” writes FSU Director of Case Management @BenBarryJones.
According to a 2021 YouGov poll, nearly half the population believes freedom of speech is under threat, while 57 per cent of Britons say they feel compelled to censor what they say — and even what they think.
We have a Government that openly shows disdain for the right to free expression, and a Prime Minister who appears uncomfortable with the truth.

I live in a country where the energy secretary and his climate committee commissars are promising to ban or severely restrict:
Petrol and diesel cars
Oil and gas drilling
Gas heating
Underfloor heating
Tumble driers
Fertiliser
Air travel
and Cattle
They plan to forbid their way to prosperity.
Please somebody explain to them why that won't work.
