People can save money AND the environment at the same time (yes you heard right)! I put together an information poster letting you know how. After all, we each have a #community that can reduce #foodwaste. Information was from @localharvester.

HOW MUCH FOOD DO YOU #WASTE IN A WEEK?
This could be from leftovers, out of date food, no longer needing/wanting it etc. You could analyse this data in your next maths lesson or when looking at #sustainability goals.

A great read from Burns (2018), highlights that #farmersmarket in a town brings the #community together! Participants interviewed state that they went there for ethical #consumption while others were devoting money to the community. Does your town have a local market? #UoNTeach

@callamhutley Awesome! This would further be helpful when showing students how heat emitted from harmful greenhouse gasses gets trapped in our atmosphere (test temp in and out of greenhouse).

@AbbeyDean6 I love that idea. @WeGoBack2Nature have great eco-friendly packaging for your food goods that are 100% compostable! You can order in bulk too (great for a canteen). #dineresponsibly is something I want to promote and share with anyone I can! Check out their page for more.

Wow! This company promote eco friendly packaging for other business to use. Do think #dineresponsibly products are beneficial to your school / community?
Maybe get your Stage 3 students to do a skit on why we should use #ecofriendly packaging, or a fundraiser to purchase some!

I found this at Coles supermarket.
Every day items like this would be a good way to start a discussion about how companies (like this one) can be more responsible in their #production!
