@jeremybmyers@jimhotalingmd@BenMcUro My homeland! You will have an amazing time. Be sure to stop at https://t.co/HdpnKXw6bA when you pass through Jasper.
@bulgercot@traumadoctors Thanks Dr Bulger! Very grateful for the support of @traumadoctors research scholarship in kickstarting this work, and the great community at AAST.
@the_dpg@UAlbertaSurgery@ZoneTrauma Thanks Damian! Always so good to connect with colleagues from Canada. Come visit Utah anytime - I hear the skiing’s not bad.
@strowhiro General surgery residency program: “Are you married or single?”, followed by “Oh don’t worry, we have a very good record of setting people up by PGY-2”.
Did not rank it. Apparently we had different priorities.
@sudhapjay This speaks to me today. Looking forward to having a similar conversation after my efforts to expedite urgent surgery and avoid unnecessary added ED, imaging and transport charges. Sigh.

State unequivocally that assault weapons/high capacity magazines should be banned, demand universal background checks, age limits, waiting periods, universal registration and training. Stop holding our conferences in states that don’t support these values. Help us work with govt
@nataliemwall I feel your pain. When I moved to the US halfway through residency, I had to manually log three years of cases to convert across systems. It was a very long weekend.
@dr_badami@topknife@EAST_TRAUMA Former J-1 here. This is a great idea!Options exist for academic, non-academic and rural practice but options vary by state. Understanding the ins and outs makes a very stressful job search slightly easier.
@TawnyaBowles It also places the junior members and trainees in a difficult position as first-author / presenters. Particularly as they are more likely to have young/unvaccinated children at home. Need a hybrid option at least.
@DrCatherineB Had this situation this summer. Husband left a day early and drove. I flew with 3-year old who’s good with masks. He picked us up at airport and we drove home together (split into two days). Count the rest of your trip towards “quarantine time”.
