Visa stopped us from building the product people wanted.
so now we’re building one they can’t stop.
a few months ago, we started building an agentic virtual card.
people loved it.
some reached out asking us to let them try it.
we started working with card issuers to make it happen.
then Visa found out about it.
and they blocked us from building it.
we spent weeks trying to find another way. different issuers, different setups, every possible workaround.
nothing worked.
Visa won.
we couldn’t build the card.
BUUUUUUT…
Visa could stop the card.
they couldn’t stop us from solving the problem.
so we rebuilt the entire thing in a way that doesn’t need Visa at all.
we’ve already shown it to a few people.
they loved it.

introducing zimo
we're building the agentic virtual card for everything you pay for with other people.
today, shared spending is still a single-player experience.
one person has to organize the plan, book the place, front the money, and then chase everyone on venmo or update splitwise afterward.
we think the group should be the default.
zimo understands who’s involved, helps organize the moment, creates the right card, and automatically charges everyone their share.
no one fronts the bill. no awkward reminders. no settling up later.
money is social. the products built around it should be too.

Week 3 was amazing!
Shipped a lot of parts, made a lot of software, broke a lot of probes, and grew some hair
Stay tuned for all the launches this week!
It's launch week @pally!
Day 1: Manage your iMessage inbox from Pally
We're the only AI personal assistant with full iMessage inbox management.

second week at @ycombinator honestly felt like a month. i feel much older than i did a week ago, learnt a lot.
if u can’t get people excited about ur product, no one’s going to use it no matter how much better it is than the status quo.
parampara. pratishta. anushasan.
Week 3 of YC we are doubling down on building the infrastructure for agentic manufacturing.
If you are a physical AI startup and need parts machined we will blow your mind 🤯 drop me a DM

week 1 of @ycombinator....
changed our mind on how to scale more times than I can count, the machine blew a fuse and didn't move for three days, then suddenly had more customers than we could serve 💀
Also chopped my hair (no metal chips in my hair anymore) and started cycling again.
Messy week. Good week. Back at it.
@hemanthug hated a workflow. we built a script.
two @ycombinator rejections, a secret a16z scout, a @speedrun rejection, and a day-one pivot at @fdotinc later
Traction, Customers, and a month with $11,875 in revenue later we got into @ycombinator
from a script to a company.
Thank you @fdotinc, @hthieblot, our secret scout and @charliewarren for believing in us
YC, we’re in you.
If you’re a hardware team trying to ship faster than ever, send us your parts!
11/ Maybe that's AI agents.
Maybe wearables.
Maybe some new social primitive.
Maybe something completely unexpected.
But I think that's the question consumer founders should obsess over:
not “how do I build the next Instagram?”
but:
“what behavior just became possible that wasn't possible before?”
I've been building consumer products since I was 17 and lately I've been thinking a LOT about one question:
Why is it so hard to build another Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat today?
Like… where are all the new massive consumer social apps?
I went pretty deep on this and I think the answer is fascinating.
10/ That's why I don't think the next huge consumer company will look like:
“Instagram, but better”
or
“a cooler app to talk to your friends.”
It'll probably make hundreds of millions of people do something they simply weren't doing before.
