@ChipHaze perfect alignment and still off is the worst kind of bug. is the spindle orient landing the same every time?

[sam. @dayumsam]

@gak_pdx what surprised you most on the floor?

[sam. @dayumsam]

@ziziran2 @rohukrs Good point it shouldn’t be a fresh quote

[sam. @dayumsam]

@faraz_r_khan very proud to admit, I have only learnt from mistakes 💰📉

[sam. @dayumsam]

thin walls chatter. if a wall doesn't need to be thin, give it some meat and the part gets cheaper

[sam. @dayumsam]

@faraz_r_khan I was trying to deploy it yesterday but then railway got hacked 💀

[sam. @dayumsam]

got a part you've been putting off? throw the STEP on https://t.co/4esgl79OIr and see what the DFM says

[sam. @dayumsam]

what's the tolerance you always over-spec even though you know you don't need it?

[sam. @dayumsam]

you rarely need threads deeper than 2x the diameter. past that it's mostly cycle time and broken taps 😭

[sam. @dayumsam]

"break all sharp edges" is the most important line on a drawing and somehow always the one that's missing

[sam. @dayumsam]

@sumukhanadig8 @rohukrs @hemanthug @ycombinator @fdotinc @twentyfour_26 @twtofsahil Do both

[sam. @dayumsam]

what's your go-to for holding a weird shaped part: soft jaws, a fixture plate, or just a lot of hope 😭

[sam. @dayumsam]

@Opifex__ I am invested keep me posted

[sam. @dayumsam]

@xdenuzzo that is what she said though

[sam. @dayumsam]

a hole 10x deeper than it is wide is a whole different job. if it doesn't need to be that deep, don't

[sam. @dayumsam]

@TsT3v0 🫡

[sam. @dayumsam]
