Retooling into web dev. Mindful parenting. Hidden laser eyes. Looked into nutrition. HYP live = inteligence = most efficient energy dissipator/entropy producer
My view on the emergence of life on Earth was significantly rectified in 2015 after watching this presentation by Eric Smith from @sfiscience.
Emergence of life was a geochemical phase transition and it was inevitable consequence of the state of our planet 4 billion years ago.
It's interesting to imagine that our brain works in first approximation similarly: an immutable core (CPU), external memory, and an agent that works with all of it iteratively using external sensory tools. (end)
🧵Maybe a trivial realization, but AI models are designed to be deterministic: they're immutable like a rock. Pure functions: same input → same output, y = x².
An AI model is simply a new type of universal computer processor (CPU), a more complex type of logic circuit, around which we're now starting to build an entire computer.
In past, I myself compared Bitcoin to a lot of crazy things (bacteria, metabolism, world-wide open game, entropy maximizing shit). Still, it seems to me that the paper is more of a buzzword throwing.
I'm not sure who "Radu C." is but I'd like to know because they deserve immense credit for this brilliant paper on Bitcoin from a 3D Thermodynamic Perspective.
So much signal. One of the best pieces of Bitcoin literature I've read.
The BBC claims to be editorially independent.
But they receive funding from the British government.
They received millions in funding from Bill Gates.
They received funding from USAID.
They are not independent.
They are paid propagandists.
@Success32173931@PovilasKorop … flexibility in data types, scalability, indexing, concurrency, and data integrity.
E.g. it can fully index JSON columns.

@alexisohanian There were never a job guarantee, job market was always dynamic and turbulent, if you cant sell your current skills or products, you go and adapt. I don't see how AI changes this dynamic more than engines in 19th, computers in 20th century or internet in 21th.
