Exploring the Principle of Sufficient Reason and its implications for metaphysics, epistemology, ontology, phenomenology, and logic #ProLife#Married#Catholic
It would be nice if atheists could reply to a post about model-theoretic semantics with something other than a single-word reply.
Even two words would be nice, three would be a luxury, four would be unexpected.
A whole sentence would blow my mind.
Dear atheists.
Please stop responding to theist arguments with phrases like, "begging the question", "special pleading", and, "strawman", without justifying your use of those terms.
Unless you can prove why the theist argument is one of those fallacies, then your reply is actually begging the question, as you are assuming the conclusion of your own reply.
So I'm going to level up your logic skills and explain how each fallacy works and how you need to demonstrate the theist claim to be a fallacy.
BEGGING THE QUESTION (assuming the conclusion)
Agent A asserts Q ^ (Q โ Q) .: Q
SPECIAL PLEADING (unjustified exception)
Agent A asserts P โ Q
Agent B accepts P but denies Q for the particular case, without relevant justification
STRAWMAN (distorting opponents position)
Agent A asserts P
Agent B misrepresents P as Q
Agent B rebuts Q instead of P
Please take note of these logical forms when replying with random and unproven phrases to theist arguments.

@BfyreSimp If a theist makes a claim then an atheist demands proof.
It is only fair that if an atheist makes a claim then they should also provide proof of their claim.
@MDH_UAR If I make an argument, and you respond with the words, "begging the question", then you need to prove why it is begging the question.
Otherwise, your claim is actually begging the question.
@MartinusLogicus Dear theists,
If you claim that atheists make a claim of any specific god not existing, you are either ignorant or dishonest.
Which is it?
@ForgedAql@deusimpera The age of Mary and Rebecca at marriage is incongruent with the argument, as the argument is about Mohammad and nobody but Mohammad.
Further to that, there is no record of the age of Mary or Rebecca when she got married.
But I cannot do x (the act therein) unless a woman permits me to do x.
Your objection asserts that either (a) women lack the agency to consent to x, or (b) that r*pe is not actually r*pe as men do not require permission from a woman to engage in x, i.e. whether x takes place is entirely decided by the man.
On the contrary, x is dependent on consent from the woman. A man cannot legally partake in x without her consent.
