Birçok kadın vajinal doğumu içsel olarak ister. Ancak ya sezaryen olmak zorunda kalır, ya doktoru tarafından sezaryene yönlendirilir ya da korku ve endişelerinden dolayı sezaryeni seçer. Fakat izlediğimiz bu film, annenin korku ve endişelerini giderecek veya doktorları yönlendirecek nitelikte değildir. Aksine, korku ve paniği körükleyen, hatta tüm sorumluluğu yine anneye, kadına yükleyen görüntülerle dolu.

Bu denli önemli girişimlerin altyapıyı oluşturmadan hedeflediği yere ulaşması imkansızdır. Zira doğumlara alınmayan ebeler, normal seyrinde ilerleyen hamileliklerde bile olmadık sebeplerle anneleri sezaryene teşvik eden doktorların hikayeleri de gerçeklerimizden biridir. Bu durumla sahada mücadele eden doktorlar ve ebelerle yürütülecek bir süreç, çok daha hedefe yönelik olacaktır.

Özetle:

Kızımla, 20 saat doğum sancısından sonra mecburen sezaryene alınmak zorunda kaldığım bir doğum hikayemiz var. Doğduğu andan itibaren kucağımdaydı ve emmeye başladı. Elbette “vajinal doğum” yapmak ve sonrasında bu konforlu deneyimi yaşamak isterdim. (Bu arada “normal - anormal doğum” değil; tıbbi adı “vajinal doğum”dur.) Bu yazıyı, “vajinal doğumu” destekleyen biri olarak yazıyorum. Bu korku filmi niteliğindeki kamu spotu daha fazla kadını yaralamadan kaldırılmalı ve yerine hedefe yönelik, nitelikli ve nicelikli bir film çekilmelidir.
