@PedsPlntsPepprs I found it helpful to keep a running rank list and add programs in as I interviewed! Felt a little more reliable to rank them in the moment than to rely on my memory at the end of a long interview season.

Last week, a fellow called in response to a consult. When she realized I was an intern, she slowed down & taught me about her recs. Today I got called for a consult & realized I was speaking with an MS3, so I did the same thing.
Culture comes from the top down. Lead by example.
In a 5-year experience with an unsanctioned safe site where people could inject drugs, there were 10,514 injections and 33 opioid overdoses. All the overdoses were reversed with naloxone, and none resulted in death. Combined stimulant and opioid use increased over time.
This week alone, I have spent over 14 hours in meetings discussing Diversity and Inclusion efforts at our med school. While important work, I could have used this time for school work and research projects. This is what the minority tax looks like. #BlackintheIvory
