I’ve been spending time with pigeon guillemots as part of a scientific study here in south Puget Sound. No fish deliveries at the colony I was surveying yet!

Anxiously waiting for the #pigeonguillemots to start making fish deliveries!! My survey lasts one hour and I record activity at 4 burrows in small section of the bank. Maybe next weeks survey will have deliveries to babies?! These two were particularly chatty 🖤 #birdphotography

White-crowned sparrows were the theme song at scatter creek! Unfortunately it’s perched on scotch broom, a plant that easily overtakes native habitat and reduces biodiversity. Pretty bird though! 😍
