@MsDeates2002 I haven’t started looking at my second observation, you’ve beaten me to it. I also miss my kids as it’s been awhile since I’ve seen them 😞
#EDU310 This week, my students are on spring break so I didn’t get to visit, and they will also have forward testing soon. I will likely need to add more hours to make sure I reach the requirement but I hope they’re beneficial to my learning
@MsKiolbasse204 I hope they did well too! My class has forward testing coming up as well so I may need to add some more hours and then they’ll go on break. Seems our classes have a different schedule
#EDU310 This week, I only went to my placement once because they would be out on their field trip at the time I would’ve gone. My mentor teacher had to do one-on-one intervention with a student so I had to monitor the class a little more than usual.
#EDU310 I went to my placement three times this week and had my first observation. I worked on a pictograph worksheet with a small group. I think it went well and I’m ready to enjoy an actual break now that I’m free!
#EDU310 My mentor teacher asked me to prepare an SEL activity about cooperation, their word for the month. So, I had them play blind drawing where I described a picture they needed to recreate.
@MsKiolbasse204 I like when I get to attend events in school or just see how the school runs outside of my classroom, so it’s cool you got to go to an assembly. I’m sure you’ll do great on your observation too!!
Then, I asked them to share examples of how they cooperate in school and picked a student to lead one more round of blind drawing. It was fun to see them try to describe their drawing accurately and for the class to understand the descriptions
For the first round, I described the wrong picture on purpose, so they would understand that without my cooperation they can’t recreate the picture accurately. I did another round correctly so they could see the difference between the results and also for fun.
#EDU310 I got to see my students twice this week and helped look after them while my teacher was busy. I also supervised them at recess which I’ve never done before and almost felt like a real teacher 😂
