@CBSNews I can’t move past the no remorse. This women was injured. He was determined by Title IX investigators to be guiltily of sexual misconduct. What condition was Jane Doe in when he returned to his room? What was being done to her? It’s unbelievable and inhuman to not have remorse.
@MiamiHerald How is that possible? This error could have potentially harmed vulnerable patients. We need to review the admissions process. We don’t need another David Newman or Larry Nassar. We need accountability.
@NMLLPLaw After benefiting from a seemingly indifferent or corrupt DA the first time, it makes sense to fight the appointment of a competent prosecutor.
@NMLLPLaw I hope my daughters never encounter a man who could be so callous and willfully ignorant. The effects of ketamine are unmistakeable. Your client had sex with a woman, left her in an unsafe room where reportedly 8-10 men go on to assault her, and he is not remorseful? Truly awful
@FrannieBlock Jeremy Saland has not appeared in the media this week. I imagine it’s because he doesn’t want to answer questions about the newest Chi Fi Snapchat.
@MahsaWho It’s really unbelievable his account that he could not tell that she was intoxicated. And there is no explanation of how he found the room and Jane Doe when he returned later that night.
@TheAtlantic@helenlewis The Snapchat is compelling evidence of a crime. Inviting 57 men unknown to Jane Doe to the use of her body while she was being plied with Ketamine is a crime. Sharing pictures without her consent is a crime.
@CBSMornings How is it reasonable to allow a student found culpable of sexual assault to return to campus? He showed at minimum a disregard for Jane Doe as a human being, an indifference to the cruelty she was experiencing. He continues to protect his frat brothers by not speaking truthfully.
@NMLLPLaw I have confidence in AG James. The public is demanding the truth and she has indicated that uncovering the facts is her goal.
The issue for your client is that the facts are unlikely to help him. The SNAPCHAT in any reasonable person’s mind is damning evidence of a gang rape.
@NMLLPLaw To the public this filing reads as an attempt to prevent your client from being held accountable. Does your client deny it was his room? Does he deny Newell was his roommate. Did he know her name? Did he use a condom? Did he show any human decency.
@NMLLPLaw If it wasn’t for headlines and social media there would be no justice in this case. Cornell should not allow men found guilty of sexual misconduct to return to campus, where there are more unsuspecting victims. An Ivy League education is a privilege not a right.
@springsteen Do you want to continue your relationship with Sirius XM knowing that Megyn Kelly is using the same platform to try and humiliate Jane Doe, the Cornell7 sexual assault survivor?
#cornell7#cornell47
@NMLLPLaw The publicly available evidence is compelling. The snapchat is degrading and dehumanizing to women. He has shown no remorse. At minimum he should be held accountable by society for being part of the cruelty of that night.
@NMLLPLaw The issue is that your client should be held accountable. He was found guilty in the Title IX proceedings. It was dangerous to allow someone who participated in the degradation and objectification of a vulnerable woman to return to a campus full of more potential victims.
@Slate What about the Snapchat? It’s degrading to women. Treats Jane Doe like an object. It’s unimaginable to me that Cornell would want these men to represent Cornell in the world. To use their Ivy League education to become lawyers, doctors and leaders.
@NMLLPLaw@nytimes The evidence of sexual violence is overwhelming. The evidence of degradation of women is overwhelming. The cruelty and inhumanity is overwhelming.
Societal ostracism is warranted for these men.
The delay in investigation is a miscarriage of justice.
